Stucco describes a finish, not a complete mounting structure. A television project on a stucco surface starts by identifying what is behind that finish and whether the proposed location is indoors or exposed to weather.
Gather the construction information
Share any drawings, renovation details or known wall layers. The visible texture alone cannot establish a suitable fastening method. A mounting plan should account for the underlying support, the equipment instructions and the condition of the surface.
Do not copy an anchor choice from a different house simply because the walls look similar. If the construction is uncertain, ask for an assessment rather than treating trial holes as a substitute for a plan.
Consider the exterior as a whole
For an outside installation, any opening through the wall needs an appropriate approach to the exterior assembly. Discuss that with a qualified installer or building professional. The job is not complete merely because the bracket feels attached.

Describe the finished use
- Where will viewers sit and when will the TV be used?
- Will the screen remain fixed or extend and swivel?
- How exposed is the location to sun and rain?
- Where are the power and media devices?
- What wall information is available?
For a quote, provide a wide view of the location and the exact equipment models. Keep the decision about hidden cables separate until the wall route has been assessed. An installation that respects the whole wall and environment is a better goal than simply finding a way to get through the textured finish.
